It is time once again to complete the FAFSA for the upcoming 2020-21 academic year.  You can do this online at www.fafsa.ed.gov .  Graceland's school code is 001866 Iowa residents must submit their FAFSA prior to July 1.

Are You Selected For Verification? 
 
You can use the IRS Data Retrieval Tool through FAFSA to eliminate having to order a tax transcript.  

 

NOTE 1:The IRS Data Retrieval Tool is now available to use on the 2020-21 FAFSA® form on fafsa.gov when the form launched on Oct. 1, 2019.

   

If you need to order a tax transcript, please go to www.irs.gov and order a tax return transcript.

Our office will correspond with you through your Graceland issued email address. We will use your alternative email if we have not heard from you after corresponding to your Graceland email account.  Please do not provide sensitive or confidential information in email messages.
 
 

After Verification:

  
If the EFC changes with the completion of verification, adjustments will be made to the financial aid package.   The student will be notified to check their revised award letter on my.graceland or will be sent a paper copy of their new award.   If the financial aid has posted to the student account prior to the student being selected for verification, the aid will be adjusted and funds will be returned to the Pell account if the student’s Pell is decreased.   Adjustments to other funds will be made and adjusted on the student account.
 
  

Misreported Information and/or Fraud:

  

If the verification specialist or other staff of the financial aid department suspect that a student, employee, or other individual has misreported information or altered documentation to fraudulently obtain federal funds, they will report their suspicions and provide any evidence to the Office of Inspector General .
