* In April 2015, Graceland adopted the Conservatree.org standard for measuring how much copy paper a tree produces.  The sharp rise in trees consumed at this point does not indicate a change in the amount of printing.

What Stats Mean

Pages: The number of document pages printed. For example a three page Word document printed front and back would be 3 pages.
Sheets: The actual number of sheets of paper printed on. For example a three page Word document printed front and back would be 2 sheets.
Trees Consumed: The amount of trees that have gone into making the paper that runs through the printers.
CO2 Produced: The greenhouse gases (carbon dioxide)  released in the production of the paper in kilograms. 1 kilogram = 2.2 pounds.
Equivalent Bulb Hours: The manufacturing energy used to produce the paper represented as the energy consumed by a standard 60W light bulb in hours.
% Duplex: What percent of print jobs were told to print on both the front and back of the page to reduce paper use.

Because printers vary greatly, the statistics cannot include any electricity used by the printers.

Statistics include any printing through the PaperCut process which includes Lamoni and Independence, employees and students but does not include some printing from Ricoh.
