1) Don't Use the Back Button
It is frustrating, but don’t use the back button in My Graceland. It works a lot of the time but it will fail you when you need it the most. Much of the time you can get back using the “breadcrumbs” at the top of the page or at the top of the section you are working in. Learn to look for breadcrumbs when you do functions like registration as they can save you a lot of hassle.
2) The Student Tab
Only current and past students get a Student tab. It holds information specifically about you: your grades, your aid, your bill. Everything from the old MyInfo site is on this tab, mostly in the Academics folder
Likewise, employees have the Employment tab where they can look up earning statements, teachers have a Faculty tab where they enter grades, donors have the Alumni and Friends tab and so on.
3) Other Pages and Folders on Each Tab
Be sure to notice the links to other pages and the folders in the navigation bar on left hand side of each page. The folders contain almost everything important to you. Click on the folder to open up the next level of pages.
4) The Resources Tab
The Resources tab holds the source of services Graceland provides to a range of people. Each office has a folder that contains all of their pages. The resources tab holds the pages that students, employees and parents need to share. Most of what’s here is information that applies to everyone and not your personalized information. Be sure to notice the folders in the left hand navigation bar for offices like Career Services and the Writing Center and the helpful content they offer.
5) Expand Sections to Fill the Page
Whenever you use a section of a page like a calendar, class schedule or forum, click on the white name in the sections blue title bar. That will make the section fill the whole page and 9 times out of 10 will show you much more options and information than you can see in its smaller format.
6) How do I get to My Courses?
Students can find their list of courses on the left hand side of every page in My Graceland. Just click on My Courses to get the list of your current classes. Use these links to find your assignements, grades and course information.
